A frog used to live in a well. He was under the impression that the area of the well is the size of the world. He sincerely thought that he is the biggest and smartest animal in the world.
During rainy season the level of the water in the well increased and he came out of the well. Then only he realised that there is a big world outside the well and that there are different kinds of animals outside. He understood that he is much smaller than some big animals..
The world for some of us is our family or village or town or church. For such people what they do is the best in the world. Many of them are satisfied with the spiritual food once in a week if they go to church. Many can survive even without going to church. Bible for some of them is only few chapters which they usually read. They don’t read beyond those portions and don’t have much understanding beyond that. Some knows everything even without reading Bible. No wonder, their knowledge is so limited and their Christian life is also limited to certain rituals or membership in the church register. I too was a frog in a well. I too was a nominal Christian before accepting Jesus as my Lord and Savior.
Like the young ones of birds in a nest, they know only to open their mouth and swallow what others give, preach or teach. For decades they remain in that condition. They don’t realise that that too can read and understand God’s word by themselves. Let us encourage all such people to join the Bible reading program to read and understand it by themselves. They too can lead a successful and victorious Christian life. They too can share Good News to the people around and that eventually they also can lead hundreds or thousands from darkness to the Light.
There are lots of educated, efficient, talented , able, competent people around. In the secular world, many of them are willing to work as a scientist or even as the Chief Executive Officer of a multinational company. But the same people think that they are helpless or useless to do anything in spiritual matters. IF they try, they all can be very effective in God’s Hands. In our Bible reading programmme, if thay try, they all can add hundreds or thousands or even millions of people. Many zeros are becoming heros in our programme. What is wrong in trying?
Now we got around 220 million members from around 110 countries in around 40 languages in our programme. If all of us keep adding more people, billions could be added.
