Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Hope and pray this message finds you well.
By God’s grace we (Agimol Pradeep and Dilla Davis) have been able to bring to one of the University’s attention regarding a cohort of nurses who are qualified nurses from overseas but British citizen and yet struggling to register with NMC. The authorities, requested further information to present before the Council of Deans by May end. This very short survey is to find out how many of us are qualified nurses from overseas with British citizenship but are working as band 2, or 3 or 4 in UK. We invite you to help us with this information collection to inform the authorities of the challenges we face to register with the NMC. If possible, may we seek your help to complete the questionnaire attached on the link below and submit as soon as possible, for which ethical approval from University of Salford is granted by God’s grace.
We want to remind you that, this is just a beginning, and we don’t have any guarantees that NMC will make any sudden changes, but we strongly believe that unless we knock on the doors it won’t be open. For us to knock on the doors we need evidence and that’s why we are seeking your help. Please feel free to forward this to any of your friends who are trained in India, working in the UK as care support worker for 5 years or more and not registered with NMC.
Also, please be aware we are not expecting any material benefit from this initiative but firmly believe that a positive outcome of this initiative will help many individuals and families. Thank you and stay blessed. Agimol and Dilla
