The core of heart, in,

Appears like a mountain,

As many streams,

From many corners,

Of the mountain,

Overflow with jerks.

Flashing novel ideas,

And innovative thoughts,

Without focusing on a single one,

Making unable to picture one.

What a chaos!

How to capture,

The magnificent ones,

To paint on canvas?

2.                                    Endless plea

*

I love thee, dear mom,

Where are thou, mom?

Leaving me in this garbage bin,

Why do thee hide, in

Park, hospital, bus or home?

How can thee,

Desert thy own baby,

Came to this world, to see,

The light; from thy own body?

Why don’t thee care for me?

Wouldn’t I get hurt by cold, heat or rain?

Don’t thee know, stray animals, maul me?

Can’t thee bear insult, fear or pain?

For my sake, thy toothless baby’s sake?

If I could move,

I would have come after thee,

But, I am helpless, to save

Me, who would come here?

Don’t thee hear my silent words, mom?

Who do thee think,

Can protect and feed me,

Other than thee, for a moment, think,

Why do thou abandon me, to die?

I didn’t ask thee to bring me to this world;

Do I deserve such a cruel fate, in this world?

I wish, I should have remained, out of danger,

In thy womb, forever;

Don’t thee hear my silent, endless plea?

3.                    Role reversal

*

When we, the parents, were young

We adored, loved and cuddled our offspring,

Nourished her, though we made blunders;

We tried to teach her, there again, made blunders;

We tried to inculcate in her, many a habit

As she grew into an adult,

Fluttered her wings that were often bent.

When she grew, she saw how the world that tilts,

Gained knowledge, new skills,

Learned new things and gained wisdom that fills;

It‘s her turn now, roles reversed,

Trying to teach us new things and make us stable;

Nourishes and cuddles us often

To the height of our delight, very often.

She gives us new wings to fly to different regions

Fills our hearts with joy to rise to new horizons;

She supports and holds us firmly

Emotionally, financially and spiritually,

When we need such an approach the most

In our crucial hours, during our ageing years.

All these are the rewards we get at this stage

For doing things for her in her young age.

We could never hope for higher gratification

She does everything for us, our inspiration.

Like everything else, life too has rewards and hopes.
