Being nocturnal,
the owl, sat on the branch
of a tree, at midnight,
said – with hooting
and cawing awake
all animals and
gives danger signals.
Humans get scary
as the owl’s cry
may bring evil omen.
sometimes the prey escapes
leaving to his destiny.
The vampire said-
his thirst to drink
human blood makes
the human being
more scary in the dark.
The truth is, the vampire
can not bring the prey
closer, in the day time.
Many a time,
the vampire’s prey
shuts the door,
preventing his access
next to the prey; thus they
exchanged stories, in between
