Long long ago

How long I know not In the beginning

When creation fell within

The parenthesis of time and space God created heaven and earth And everything within it

As crown of all His work

He fashioned man with his own hands To crown him, formed the last of all Last but the best,

Woman

Man looked at her and said This is bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh Together they lived

But gullible she was Swindlers preyed on her Satan in guise of imposter Was the first of the lot

To swindle her

Then on, there on the story goes on Tricksters galore preyed on her There came in Mahabharata time, Shark of a Duryodhan

Covetous as he was

With revenge of highest degree Ordered to rend naked

The enemy’s spouse, the innocent lass They twisted her with whirlwind speed Till their sinews ached and pained Their ruthless avarice retracted hood Her guilelessness saved the day

To shame womanhood is highest revenge To vent the anger of tormentor

Time moved on, not long time back In our own motherland

A violence broke out in one nook Once an ally, now an enemy Rhyme and reason shoved behind At explosive rate violence reigned Here too the resort came

For angry avengers all

Shame womanhood, the best revenge

The angry mob, homo-sapiens we call Paraded naked two female humans Midst their cheers, howls and screams Women put their heads down

Down and down till no more can down Violent mob tossed them around

Life lifeless toys, from hand to hand Little thinking

They hold within their frail frame A throbbing loving heart

They played their game Until her voice stilled

And no more life left on them No honor paid in life or death World moves on, time moves on Barbaric gene, still latent lie

Down beneath man’s conscious mind Latest in the global news

On unaware crowd, a terrorist attack Hell let loose was the state

Corpses fell like pack of cards

Blood stained bodies shattered around Mutilated, tattered, battered

Midst the pandemonium Some human beasts Unclothed one young lass A butt of ridicule

A laughing stock, they made of her Their laughable laugh

Resounded like hyena’s laugh They rent naked a lady’s corpse

Laughed and spat on the lifeless corpse No honor paid even on dead Speechless lie womanhood

To be kicked around by ruthless men They who say, dont exposed

A woman’s head, face and feet Did so meanly to womanhood They spat hatred like lava From ferocious mountain crest They gurgle, howl and thunder

Throw up fiery flames up on sky Until they froze like granite stones Such granite stones deface the earth

They dot more and more as time advance To give hideous look to good old earth

On their faceless face

Time inscribes shame on you, shame on you
