Wrapped up in colourful cloth, screaming out to be eaten, waited Kiran Babu’s lunch box. Finally, time had arrived for it to make its appearance, and Kiran Babu took mighty bites in a relentless manner to satisfy his craving. But it took him a few bites to realise that after a while even Lunch boxes would bite back if it felt discontent. Today he felt a shocking bite back from within his lunch box courtesy of the spicy chilly left inside by his wife Kanakam. Kiran Babu was a teacher, and his whole expression of disarray and discomfort following the bite was rather glared at by his companions who had joined him for lunch. Kiran spoke out that it was just a hot chili, in the hopes of not making a big deal out of the whole thing. He time and time again tried to ease his uneasiness by taking in handfuls of rice and curries.
Kiran found that wasn’t of any use, and rushed out to wash his hands and tried to clear his throat, but sadly the hot chilly that found its way into his stomach wasn’t having any of it. He took a long breath and thought of his wife, and soon enough realised that it was her way of taking revenge on him for denying her from getting things she desired. This hot chilly was her way of saying “How dare you”, for not buying her the expensive saree that she wanted.
