It is said Kerala is God’s own country. Forests, hills, beaches, back waters and a lot more to attract tourists. Other than enjoying natural beauty and well known local hospitality of Kerala, the new generation is looking at adventure sports like pedaling kayak and canoe boats in back waters , riding cycles , para gliding, kite flying , rock climbing in the state.
All these are essential to sports tourism . As far as Kerala is concerned, it has everything except snow. Hence all other natural facilities can be explored and developed further. Future tourism will focus on the nature which is in abundance in Kerala.
Sanil in fact, looks in to it seriously. He describes different adventure sports suited for different places in Kerala.I am happy to see that he talks about the Special Area Games programme initiated by me for SAI in 1980s.Of course, Kerala can be a special area for nature and adventure tourism in India
