ഞാൻ മേരി അലക്സ്‌

പുളിക്കപ്പറമ്പിൽ വീട്,

മണിയ എന്ന തൂലികാ നാമത്തിൽ 1969 മുതൽ
എഴുതിയിരുന്നു. ഇപ്പോൾ മേരി അലക്സ്‌ (മണിയ )എന്ന പേരിൽ തുടരുന്നു.

മാതാപിതാക്കൾ: കോട്ടയം പാമ്പാടി ഇലഞ്ഞിത്തറയിൽ പരേതരായ ശ്രീ ഇ.റ്റി. കുര്യൻ, ശ്രീമതി അക്കമ്മ കുര്യൻ

സഹോദരങ്ങൾ : രണ്ടു സഹോദരന്മാരിൽ മൂത്തയാൾ ശ്രീ തോമസ് കുര്യൻ നിര്യാതനായി. ഇനിയുള്ള സഹോദരൻ ശ്രീ ഇ. കെ മാണി ഇലഞ്ഞിത്തറ, പാമ്പാടി. സഹോദരിമാർ:-

എസ് എസ് എൽ സി :- എം ജി എം ഹൈസ്കൂൾ,പാമ്പാടി
ബി എസ് സി:- ജന്തുശാസ്ത്രം/ സസ്യശാസ്ത്രം – ബി സി എം കോളേജ്, കോട്ടയം.
ഔദ്യോഗിക മേഖല:1966 ൽ ഡിഗ്രി സമ്പാദനത്തിനു ശേഷം വെല്ലൂർ ക്രിസ്റ്റ്യൻ മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജ് ഹോസ്പിറ്റലിന്റെ എന്ററോ വൈറസ് റിസേർച്ച് ഡിപ്പാർട്ട് മെന്റിൽ റിസേർച്ച് അസിസ്റ്റന്റ്.
1968 ൽ കേരളാ ഗവണ്മെന്റിന്റെ എൻ സി സി ഡിപ്പാർട്ട്മെൻറിൽ പി എസ് സി നിയമനം വഴി എൽ ഡി സി ആയി കയറി,പടിപടിയായ പ്രൊമോഷൻ വഴി മാനേജർ (ഗസറ്റഡ്) തസ്തികയിൽ എത്തി, 2001 ഡിസംബറിൽ വിരമിച്ചു.
കുടുംബം: ഭർത്താവ് കോട്ടയം തിരുവഞ്ചൂർ പുളിക്കപ്പറമ്പിൽ പരേതരായ ശ്രീ പി വി കുരുവിളയുടേയും ശ്രീമതി അന്നമ്മ കുരുവിളയുടെയും പുത്രൻ ശ്രീ പി കെ അലക്സാ ണ്ടർ, തിരുവഞ്ചൂർ ജുവനൈൽ ഹോം സൂപ്രണ്ട്.(ഗസറ്റഡ്) റിട്ടയർഡ്.
ഏഴു സഹോദരങ്ങളിൽ മുതിർന്ന ഒരു സഹോദരി ശ്രീമതി മേരിക്കുട്ടി കുര്യൻ മുണ്ടീമാലിൽ വീട്, പാറമ്പുഴ, തിരുവഞ്ചൂർ മാത്രമേ ഇപ്പോൾ ഉള്ളു.

മക്കൾ: രണ്ടാണും ഒരു പെണ്ണും. മൂവരും വിവാഹിതരായി കുടുംബസമേതം.

സാഹിത്യവഴി:
ആയിരത്തി തൊള്ളായിരത്തി അറുപത്തൊൻപതിൽ ആദ്യ കഥയായ ‘പരാജിതൻ’ ദീപിക ദിനപ്പത്രത്തിൽ അച്ചടിച്ചു വന്ന് തുടക്കം കുറിച്ചു. അതിനു സഹപ്രവർത്തകയായ ശ്രീമതി ഓമന മാണിയും ഭർത്താവ് പരേതനായ ശ്രീ പി ഡി മാണിയും ഒപ്പം അന്നുണ്ടായിരുന്ന മറ്റു ജീവനക്കാരും,ഇതിൽ എല്ലാം ഉപരി സ്വന്തം കുടുംബത്തിൽ നിന്നും പ്രോത്സാഹനം തന്ന് സഹായിച്ചു. തുടർന്ന് കഥകളും , കവിതകളും യാത്രാ വിവരണങ്ങളുമായി ഇരുനൂറോളം രചനകൾ.പലതും, ആനുകാലികങ്ങളിലൂടെയും ഓൺലൈൻ മാധ്യമങ്ങൾ വഴിയായും വെളിച്ചം കണ്ടു. ആയതിനു കോട്ടയത്തെ എല്ലാ പഴയ ആനുകാലികങ്ങളോടും ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ നാട്ടിലും വിദേശങ്ങളിലുമുള്ള ഓൺലൈൻ മാധ്യമങ്ങളോടും, ഇവയ്ക്കെല്ലാം ഉപരി ഞാൻ ഉൾപ്പെട്ടു നിന്ന കാവ്യാരാമം ഗ്രൂപ്പിനോടും ഇപ്പോൾ നിൽക്കുന്ന അഖില ലോക സാഹിത്യ വേദിയും ഓൺലൈൻ മാധ്യമവും ആയ ലിമ വേൾഡ് ഗ്രൂപ്പ്‌ ഓഫ് ലൈബ്രറിയോടും സ്വകുടുംബത്തോടും കടപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

എങ്കിലും അന്നത്തെ എഡിറ്റർ ആയിരുന്ന ശ്രീ ഉറൂബ് സാറിന്റെ നിര്യാണം മൂലം അതു വെളിച്ചം കാണാതെ തിരികെ ലഭിച്ചത് ദുഖകരമായ ഒരു കാര്യമായി ഭവിച്ചു . രണ്ടു ചെറുകഥകൾ തിരുവനന്തപുരം ഓൾ ഇൻഡ്യ റേഡിയോയിൽ വായിച്ച്
അവതരിപ്പിക്കുവാനുള്ള
സന്ദർഭം ലഭിച്ചു എന്നതിൽ ചാരിതാർത്ഥ്യമുണ്ട്.

Out of 7 siblings one elder sister Mrs Mary kutty kurian Mundeemalil house, Parampuzha, Thiruvanchoor only left.

Children :- Two boys and one girl all got married and settled.

About my literal journey :- In 1969 my first short story named ‘Parajithan’ was published in Deepika Newspaper with the help of my encouraging co workers Mrs Omana Mani and her husband late Mr PD Mani and others of the time. From that onwards my short stories as well other articles were published in almost all magazines and weeklies running at Kottayam and other places at that period and also through online medias now. I am very gratefull to all weeklies and Kavyaramam group who introduced me to online medias for the same.
I got two opportunities to narrate my two short stories in All India Radio, Trivandrum.

My published books are :-

1. ‘E vasantham ninakku mathram ‘
(Novel) published by M M C publication, Kottayam in 1981 as third book of lady writer’s of the year as planned.

2.’Kuudu vitta koottukaran’ (Bala sahithyam) 5 short stories for kids by Kairali books Kottayam in1986

4.’Avalude nadu ‘ 10 short stories by National Book Stall, Kottayam in 1989.
(The above three collection of short stories are now published together as one book named ‘Avalude nadu ‘ by Lima /KP/Amazone recently .)

I am glad to announce that the cover page and inner pictures for this book were drawn by our grand daughter Kezia Ann Kurian who is also a poetess, whose english poems are periodically seen in Lima world library as well others.
