SERENADE ON WATER – Gopan Ambat

A flowering paddy field, once gold and ripe,
Now a tranquil lake, where two hearts skype
Beyond the harvest, the rains descend,
Flooding the field , where dreams blend
Red water lilies, like blushes in bloom,
Float serenely, dispelling all gloom,
Their petals unfurl in the soft, gentle light,
As love’s tender whispers embrace the site
In a rowing boat, they glide with grace,
Two souls entwined in this sacred space,
Eyes locked in a gaze, a silent decree,
In this world of wonder, just man and woman
The western wind dances, a gentle caress,
Kissing her hair with a lover’s finesse,
It stirs the sweet fragrance of passion ,
They drift through moments of attraction
Each ripple of water, a heartbeat, a sigh,
Reflecting the hopes that twinkle on high,
In this dreamlike journey, time stands still,
Hearts weave a world, woven with will.
Oh, let the world fade, echoes be few,
For in this serene lake, it’s just you two
With the lilies as witnesses, soft shadows of love.
