On a starry, cold night,
In a humble and simple nativity scene,
Jesus, the divine Child, is born,
In Bethlehem, the city of David.
The angels sing, the stars shine,
The shepherds come running, amazed,
The Messiah is born, the Savior,
The hope of the world, our love.
An ox and a donkey, humble companions,
They warm him with their breath,
The Virgin Mary, loving mother,
Cradles him with sweetness and tenderness.
Jesus, the Child, our King,
Born for us, to save us,
He teaches us love, peace, and joy,
And guides us on the path of salvation.
